Default airbox strap install...

Hey there...is there a trick or secret to getting the straps on a factory airbox for a '74 911?
Have bought two new sets and all seem way too short and unable to stretch to fit...thanks.

The airbox cover on the earlier cars was way larger than my 78. Are you sure you got the right strap ? If so then you need strong fingers

what brand strap are you buying? If the URO- theirs tends to be slightly " off".

FWIW,....

'73-'76 are different from the '77 & later ones so make sure you have the right ones.

Generally speaking, URO stuff is junk so we never use anything made by them. In this case, Porsche still offers that part and that would be my only choice.
