Arrow HELP! In the market for '84-'89 911 Carrera - Couple questions

Hello. I'm looking for a nice clean well maintained/documented and dependable '84-'89 911 Carrera. I'm located in the Southwest (AZ), but willing to travel outside my state for the right car.

1. Coupe
2. Open to all exterior/interior colors.
3. Price range will vary on condition of car, its documentation and history.

I'll keep scouring the forum classified sections on this and other boards, looking locally and doing nationwide CL searches. However, does anyone recommend any particular shops or reputable dealers who sell above average cars? If so, please post the name and contact info here or email the info to me. For some reason my PMs are not working; perhaps I don't have enough posts for permissions yet. I can be emailed at B1Wes at yahoo (that is a #1, not a lowercase "L"). Thank you.

Regards,
Wes

Try Holt's Motorsports in PA. You get what you pay for - painful truth, and be sure to get a PPI done.

Lots of info on the forums - I'd stay with a 3.2, 915 (if rebuilt) and G50 are both great.

There are a few, if looking for a dealer. Holt is one, Sloan, RPM motorsports. RPM is drool worthy inventory.

But that's why I asked budget. Because it will be highly variable.

For example, if you want an 86 coupe... I know one, it may be the finest one out there, or close. Both condition and options. But, not inexpensive.

Approx budget would help? There a bunch of exceptionally nice cars out there but you will pay for them.

LOL. Thanks guys. I'll check into those places, and continue my private owner search as well. I posted a WTB ad over on Pelican. I tried to copy/paste and link it here, but it would not allow me. I'm new so permissions have yet to be granted I suppose. I also cannot send or receive PMs here. Guess I need to get my post count up?

I didn't list a budget price due to info below. High dollar car owners will overlook this ad knowing I'm not wanting their outrageously priced car. Owners that have junk or "lipstick on a pig" car won't respond either. Based on the criteria I listed in my WTB ad and a snapshot of what you see below, most owners cars that fall inline with those requirements will post here or contact me.

Bottom line up front:

I'm looking for a no-hit, well maintained/documented above average car that is a quality/dependable driver. Want mostly stock, and very limited modifications. Not looking for a conquers low mile trailer queen show car or a heavily modified car. I plan to drive it, but with extreme care and meticulous maintenance.

I don't know where to look, which is why I posted this thread in hopes of getting pointed in the right direction. Money not an issue for the type of car I am wanting. Thanks.

Nice car, and perfect for the high country without 110+ temps 5 months out of the year. I need a car with working A/C, even its only a little bit. I hear the A/C in these cars is not the best.
