yeah. Due to the design powder coating would crack likely when the bolts are cranked down. Didn’t want them zinc color. The plates i got are the elephant racing adjustable plates. They are really nice and give about 1” of adjustment up or down. Makes corner balance and alignment way easier once base index is sent.
What do you all think of these pulls? Bob at app biz gave me these to try. I think better than the plastic ones!?
i also replaced the hard cracking rubber switch pulls and the ignition surround.
I’ve a new wiper and blinker stalk end but I’m afraid to break the stalk. May have to clip it off. The rubber pulls had to be cut they were so old and cracked and hard.

The first plastic door pulls look to be the more authentic. Picture is tough to see on my phone. Second ones dont look right to me, but everyone has their preferences.

The plastic handles suck. They are from a FIAT, and feel like a product of the Era from Fiat. The other handles are just some leather straps Bob had made. I'm likely going to replace them with the Wevo billet handles once they are back in stock.
Its the RSR door card. Check eBay, his website is dated. OR call him. The material on the panels I supplied and it's hard to find, but it's a great match for the dash.

Ive got the original Zeniths on my 70T. Fortunately the Mayo Performance team has been a big help. They oversaw my rebuild and helped with final tuning. Still some details to sort with them.

Weber 40 IDA on a 2.7L. The carbs were rebuilt a few years ago, about 3k miles. But, they were tuned for 6k elevation. Shop opened up the mains 2 steps, and did some adjustments to ensure they were balanced, etc. They wanted me to drive it some, cold starts, etc, and they'd finish it after my further feedback. They got the hand throttle working and that makes cold starts easier, although the car starts up really easily warm or cold.
Its been a LONG time since I messed with carbs, so I'm letting them do it. Next is to enlarge the idle jets just a bit, and then I think they are good. I get a little bit of popping at very light throttle application, its the transition from the idle to mains. On mains/mid, cruising, overrun, on power, no issues, idle no issues. Just that very very light transition to off throttle.
The car hauls tho, it's so fun to drive, and the trans after their adjustments to the shifter shifts really good, as easy to drive as a well setup 915.
One installed. One to go. Why does something so simple take so long.
Porsche was nice enough to leave the wiring there bundled up and tied into fuse 8
once i get them mounted I’ll wire up a Bosch relay and tie to the high besms
these are driving lights not fogs.
Damn horn grills are a pita to align.
