Cool,thx.

Todays task. Little things.
Installed JWEST headlight relay kit. Car has h4 and had high wattage bulbs.
feel better now I’m not routing 20a through the switch
At least my headlight switch is new from previous owner
i May put Normal bulbs in i just don’t feel like pulling lights again such a pain to get that damn screw in right and so easy to strip it
im also pulling each lens and cleaning them, treating the seals
later will tackle brake bleed and pad swap
car has blue ate 200 in it. Which means fluid is probably 3-4 yrs old since they stopped selling it. That stuff stains reservoirs.... at least easy to see when bleed is done.

Yesterday I received a picture book + about 500 pictures of the restoration process from Partsklassik (http://www.partsklassik.com). I can't say enough how cool Kurt was. Answered a ton of questions about the work on the car and sent me the pictures and book on his dime.

I'll post some up later. It documents the cars survivor condition in 2012 and the restoration process.

But, I don't like the 964 style handle and pull in this car. I could get his blank panels and source some waffle vinyl and wrap them...

He makes an RSR type panel with a leather pull strap with smooth type vinyl that is nice.
Just got this from Sierra Madre:

Basket Weave Door Panel Set (1969-1971)

Id be all over that if I had all the other parts!!! Or if it was a full panel. I'm going to locate some Waffle material and just recover what I have. Will call the guys at autobahn and my 'super secret but very backed up' interior guy in OC. :-)

I may even be interested if it were a full panel - I am still trying to decide what I will be doing. I actually like the waffle style of the pre-72 better than the smooth. Trying to keep what I do simple, but keeping weight in mind.

Don't worry about wt. in the front or middle - the rear end and up high are the real issues.

if he had the waffle pattern vinyl I'd buy it from him. I love going over there it turns into an afternoon showing the latest stuff he's making lol.

Like the seats you ordered ! I thought about those but ended up going a bit more sporty with Stefan's seats, partly because I could sit in some locally before I ordered, and Stefan is just down the road from me in Austin.

The tire and wheel combo is a fun decision. I broke down and bought some date correct Deep Sixes from Harvey and they are in line for refinishing. My car is a 70T.

The car as I bought it...

Albert Blue.... : )

I have a buddy with an E coupe in Albert and loved it. My wife loves this color too. That didn't hurt the purchasing decision.

Signal yellow and signal orange are some of my other favorites. Local buddy has tangerine, love that too.

It's a super straight, unmolested car...

I guess I'll molest it a bit with some stuff. The next engine will spoil it rotten...

Yep. These current wheels are not bad, but they just don't look right...

They look like 16's - I really believe 15's are what belong on these cars.
