purchase price seems like a decent "value" compared to the white '69 that recently sold at bat. i saw that car in person and it needed some metal work, lots of dent repair, and a glass out repaint for starters. love where you are taking it. a navy blue or charcoal grey offset stripe and matching steelies would look cool on that color.

I saw that car on BAT. I could easily spend $50k on it getting it the way I like them. That car is substantially less nice than the one I picked up from every respect. The $20k difference would be gone in a flash and still not be to the same level.
Frankly, I think the car I picked up was under sold at this point based on what else I see in the market and tearing into the car to see what is right and what isn't (not much). I think the seller could have advertised it better and easily gotten another 10k+ for it. Better pictures, and better history documentation. It's substantial, and the amount of work he and the shop did restoring it is insane.
Based on what I want in a car a T are all 100k+ cars when "done" the way I like my cars. I'm pretty sure, to get a nice clean well done car, unless you're doing all the work yourself, you're going to get there these days.
Beside, stock T are too damn slow. If I didn't find this one I'd have gotten an E and those "in doneish" condition are near 150.

for me:
refresh interior to stock - 10k
refresh exterior to sepia - 15k - with needed body work - rust LOOKS minimal but hard to say
refresh / clean up engine - 5k
Wheels - 1k
suspension - 'detrack' it and go back to rubber and slightly lighter torsions and possibly sways, alignment - 5k
misc - 10k
I bet this car closes for near +/- 70k but that extra engine is part of it.
