Default 77 911s for $72,000

A California car, sunroof coupe, 51,000 miles, 3 owners & a Kuehl A/C system installed.
I'm not in the market, I just came across this one & thought the price was crazy, but I haven't watched these mid year cars lately.
Claims of all originality except for bare metal re-spray & restored wheels. So, I'm curious, are these cars really going for that kind of money?

I went to see a '74 911s, 60k miles shown, very rare color, no sunroof,.alleged 2 owner, but no records and TMU, which sold for 60k three years ago. So not quite 72k but kind of the same zip code.

That is long hood money.... Not sure i would feel good about spending 70K on a 74-77.

That is condition 3.5 longhood money. A 73 911 T on comparable terms with a $70k middie (colors, condition, history, etc) would probably set you back $120k or something like that.

The market has changed.

Not long ago, I saw a VERY nice '77 911S auction for $80K and other solid, original '74-'75 cars sell for $60K+.

Excellent rust-free longhood cars with proper mechanicals are now at least $80K.

This one is in the ballpark IF its a good example and only a close inspection can disclose that.

Condition is EVERYTHING.

That's 150k Canadian, or $112k US. Still a lot but not as crazy as it looks. Sloan was asking $125k for a 4k mile SC three years ago.

People can ask whatever they like for car, that doesn't mean they're selling there. $72k for a run of the mill S coupe with 50k miles....pass, unless its some really cool odd ball color.

That's kind of what I thought. I could see it if it was under 15k miles, but I was thinking this one would be around $40k.

Yes they can ask whatever they like........ and they are quietly selling. $50K is currently the bench mark for a starter car that is mechanically sound but needs interior work.
