That doesn't have a laundry list of issues and is mechanically excellent..... yup !!! That is solely based on what I expect to be an acceptable car to start with. I flew to look at 5.
Palm Springs, Indianapolis, Miami, Scottsdale and Dallas. Most had less then 50,000 miles and were excellent examples..... There are a lot of less expensive cars that all need
things.

Amended comment...... if you like Guards red disregard all of my previous comments.....

Sorry.... $50k buys you a lot more 911 than a middle coupe. They're fine cars but in the pecking order of 911's they don't command that price. .... posting an outlier does not make the whole market price. Posting a high asking price does nothing.

Still on the market, but price dropped to $59,500. Still seems high to me.

The Hagerty value guide shows that a pristine, concours #1 condition 1977 S coupe is currently valued at $52,000.

#1 - concours - 52,000
#2 - excellent - 37,000
#3 - good - 27,500
#4 - fair - 18,500

The trend also shows that all condition levels have increased about 40% in the last 12 months.

But sheesh, you can get a pretty good '89 Carrera for $50-55k, so I think there are a lot of "inflated" opinions of middie values out there

That was my point exactly several posts ago. If you're going to spend $50 to $55k on a 911 wouldn't you want a later model which is arguably a better car for the same money?

I agree with the above. I just thought it interesting that the price was dropped so dramatically at one time.

Used cars is about turning your money over and over. If you're holding out for that one single buyer you're not using your capital effectively.
