Post Oil Leak on 911sc's

Is it common for the 911 sc's to leak oil.I put my 79 911sc in the shop for oil leak repairs and still find spots of oil in my garage.I'am new to owening a Porsche. This is a great car and I just love it.

Carl,

Yes, 911SC's, like most Porsche's, can leak oil. If you haven't already, take a look at the 911SC FAQ for information on oil leak sources.

Carl first off congrats on a great car.

Secondly Yes leaks are very common, there are a ton of places they leak from. I also suggest picking up "01 Projects for your Porsche 911" It is written by one of the owners of Pelican Parts and it is GREAT. Has a great article on fixing these leaks
