Default 1988 Cab Hi-Fi option missing speakers

I have just bought an 88 cab and decided to force the stereo into the 21st century as I can't find my ABBA tapes
It has a Reno with the extra amp under the seat. The confusion lay in the fact that the wires leaving the Hi-Fi have infinite resistance (so open) and there are no other speakers in the car except 4 in the front and 2 in the rear b-pillar.
I have installed a new deck and the 6 speakers work fine but where were these mysterious 4 option speakers?
Did Porsche create the car as a coupe with these options and the cabriolet company just cut out the stuff that was in the way?

Cheers, Dave
