The 911SC was the 911 model I owned the longest at almost 9.5 years. This is saying something as my average car ownership tenure is under 2 years. Having said this, it’s trending upward the past 5 years as I’m happy with what I have. Nonetheless, I have great driving memories of my SC...even better than G50 Carreras I had.

Darn still on the fence 50/50 if I'm going to go buy this white SC. It's a 1980(converted from targa) about 60k miles for 18k, good paint and body but it's a convertible. That's the only thing holding me back. It needs some TLC here and there but rust free and engine/transmission are original and everything works. But Targa and coupe prices are high for what I want to pay at this point. Should I wait, or too good to pass up?

- Coupes tend to be more expensive than cabs.
- Coupes tend to be more expensive than targas.
- Original is more expensive than modified
- Conversions (other than Singer) takes a real special buyer.

Here is the car...19k is good or should I wait for Targa or coupe? Body and paint is straight and fresh though nothing to fix that I know of. Interior needs refreshing.

Some Porsche generalizations:

I came back to this post to tell you about a conversion that might be worth looking at, but at $19,000 that might be a lot of fun and it would seem priced right.
This car car has a bigger engine, so it’ll be fun. But as my mechanic 45 years solely aircooled Porsche’s would say “so it will drive like a 993, with less suspension”. Might be fun to watch: https://bringatrailer.com/listing/19...l_notification

The BaT car is worth considerably more in almost every respect. It is a factory cab an 88 G50 car. It has big red brakes and a 3.6 varam engine. This is worth bidding on for the engine alone. A good 993 Vram motor is approaching $20k as is the rest are desirable parts.
