Oh, I like those RUF wheels! Very nice - And dugsud - congrats on the new ride! 100K on a SC is just getting broken in! You might try listing those wheels for sale on the 944/924/951 site. For some reason - they look better on those cars... You might be able to trade/sell for not much difference in price...

I have the even wider Ruf's on my turbo, but i kept the classic Fuch's on the targa. I think the Fuch's just fit the car so well and look the part perfectly.

Hi Doug,

Lovely car, good to see another UK based SC! I agree with all your comments - so much so I've just sold the modern and bought a 944S to share the mileage with the 911.

I think the the teledials look great on an early 928, not so sure on the 911...I'd go with Ben and suggest a set of Fuchs. Whichever way you go, just enjoy it.

Love your ride, congratulations.

I considered changing from Fuchs to "Cups & spacers" but just can't bring myself to do it. If I didn't have the Fuchs already, I would probably go with the "Turbo Cup" for the modern touch. All original has its merits too. Good luck deciding and let us know which way you'll go.

Trader, I love the looks of the Ruf wheels, but I had always heard that they are significantly heavier. Is this what you are referring to? Do you notice any difference between the Rufs and Fuchs?

Polished fuchs on your car (black inserts/polished paddles) would look awesome... Just IMHO. Al Reed did mine (I shipped to CA for under 100 a wheel) Nice Car!

Welcome Doug. Nice car. My choice would also be Fuch, just to be different! Most people seem to want 7 and 8's. I have 6 and 8's on mine, which were fitted from new. The smaller fronts really make the rears look huge by comparisson. I wonder about putting 7's up front, but my car seems to be balanced nicely, and I guess going wider at the front may make the car more oversteery? Black or body coloured looks good, I also like the polished fuch's, which appears to be an American trend. I can't remember ever seeing polished fuches in the UK.
