Default Where to get Brakes and Pads (Won't Use Pelican Parts . . .)

Used to use Pelican Parts when they were small and provided good service. No more. I need brake pads and rotors for a 911. Who is decent, reliable and has decent prices?

I'm a big fan of Zims. Very helpful.

Send me an email and tell me what you are looking for and how you use the car.

I've always had good experiences with Pelican and have spent a silly amount of money through them, has their quality of service actually changed?

I do more shopping with the dealership in Oregon these days , they are very competitive and of course are carrying genuine Porsche parts. As these cars have jumped in value so much I think twice about Pelican aftermarket parts in these cars. I also rarely find them competitive pricewise.

Its nice to have a Porsche rotor that looks good 5 years from now on my weekend driver , rather that a rusted aftermarket one after 2 months. Just something to think about.

I don't do it for all parts , but some are worth buying OE

i wish I could say the same. I actually decided to give them a shot because someone reached out to make it right . . . so this time they lied to me, got my money and wasted more of my time.

Wow. The only time I've ever had an issue with Pelican has been when something was drop shipped from another vendor through them, and that was on the vendor. Both made right on the parts but it was a close thing to having the parts in on time prior to a track day.

Glad I read these posts before I purchased parts for rear brake work: calipers, rotors on my 1980 SC coupe- think I'll go with AutohausAZ based on the comments here.
