Default Small hose under left front fender

71 911t (calif)
There is a small 5mm OD hose running from inside the front hood that not connected to anything and goes thru to under the left from fender.
What’s if for?
Where should it be connected at each end?

yes, it’s got an outlet (about 3/8) at each end and a small one this hose could fit on, I was thinking it might go there, but it just is hanging loose under the fender and it has a clamp on it so it goes to something that should be under the fender?

i have then exspansion tank but it’s just loose in the trunk, I thought it should be mounted in the trunk? should it be mounted under the fender?

The two larger hoses that come from the engine compartment that I believe hook to the air cleaner and the cooling shroud, don’t have a way to get to it under the fender?
