My understanding is that the US model 89 Speedster came in a limited number of colors. I've found Linen Metallic, Silver, Black, Blue and White - were there other colors available? Is there a document that states how many of each color were sold (I can't find it...).
Many thanks - I just bought an 89 Speedster in Silver...it is the 4th 911 I've owned - 86 coupe - 86 Turbo-look Cab - 09 Carrera S Cab.
If you browse the "Register" on my site www.turbo-look.com you find most available colors and many many informations about the Speedster: 911-speedster-1989 ( not the best English ... my German is better )
Agree - it is a keeper! My research when I bought mine found lots of Guards Red US cars. Mine is one of the 17 Speedsters that came into Canada in 1989....
89 Speedsters were available in a variety of colors/combos. You had to order what you wanted. Most dealers at the time ordered what they felt would sell.
I knew a gentleman in Southern, Va that had several 89 Speedsters, all were ordered in 356 color combinations.
