A friend of mine is a good friend of Alois Ruf. Joe was 'forced' to baby sit the Yellow Bird for awhile in Santa Barbara and it was quite a treat for us! Joe later ordered a new 'body in white' Cayman in 2006 and delivered it to Pfaffenhausen as soon as he got the car in Zuffenhausen. He had Ruf put in a supercharger, enhance the brakes and other body tricks, and ultimately paint his car "Azzurro Santa Barbara," a blueish metallic. One day he shared my driveway with me for photos.

Great piece of history. Although a friend of mine restored one of the original ones and I was shocked to see how they cobbled these things together and the IC placement was just down right nutty.
