I tried to adjust the brake pedal height on my 1993 964 and I got stuck pretty quickly. Removing the carpet and wood board was straightforward, here's how it looks:
And here's why I am stuck: I understand that I need to adjust (B) to be able to control the brake pedal height but when I loosen it up, it moves freely and does not do anything. I then tried to free the pedal and there's the (A) piece (no idea what this is called) that prevents me from doing anything. This is a poor explanation but that's the best I can do
Also, any tip to reconnect the accelerator pedal once the wood floor is back on? I manage to do so with pliers preventing the hinge from going down but that did not feel right.
Ok, I was a bit harsh. Try pulling the clip you marked as (A) then slipping the Heim joint off the end. You can then loosen the jam nut and adjust the Heim in or out.
The gas pedal just needs a little pressure to put the ball back in the socket.
Maybe if you went looking for help in the 964 section you'd get some help.

Thanks for the instructions, I now need to find a way to remove that clip without breaking it. I tried a few times, no success but I'll give it another shot later this week

Agreed. And the first two steps may be considered optional.
I recently had this all apart on my '85, where for no particular reason, I replaced all the bushings, and re-painted the wood black (as it was originally on my car).
Mine has the older cable-actuated clutch.
Looking at your picture of the clip you would first move the safely latch on the clip to the left to clear the pin then push it away from you to remove it from the pin. It's kind of a two step process. Pry out then push down.
