I'm trying to figure out if this is all OEM (apart from the engine swap). What do the eyes of the experts spot with this guy?

Without seeing it for myself, I cannot testify about its originality, however I can tell you that its VIN is a genuine US Carrera. The owner added the power mirrors (never available in '74) and VPC A/C which is dealer-installed air conditioning. Flares & ducktail were standard for these cars.
I've owned one of these cars for 42 years.

This car has been for sale for over a year- probably the 3rd or 4th time I have seen it on ebay. Typically bidding tops out @ the 38k range.
If I remember correctly - the the underneath doesn't look so hot ( rust)

Chances for head stud issues are real. '74 through '89 cars must prove they are in good shape. The last 2 SC's I've owned had them done due to failure.

The aluminum-cased engines OTOH, do not pull the threads out of the case; these have the Gen 1 Dilavars which were prone to failure due to corrosion. Thankfully, the Gen 2 Dilavars (993TT) do not suffer the same fate and are the preferred solution for the 3.0-4.0 engines.
