Brad Penn, Swepco or Delo, Rotella are all fine - see LN Engineering's web site

Default Best oil.... royal Purple 20-50 HPS

The royal purple hps has a higher zinc concentratation for engines such as these that demand it. I use it and love it. Also use royal purple 5w40 in my 996. I love their products

i do have a car bypass on my 3.2 so no worries on cats failing

Mobil V-Twin 20W50 would be a solid selection.

Just to add another one... Valvoline VR1 Racing 20W50 for early cars up to (and including) Carreras 3.2.

What're the thoughts on high zinc oils with catalytic converters? I've heard that's a big no-no.

Cats are cheaper than engines. And I have not yet seen a cat destroyed by high-ZN oil. Valvoline has 1400PPM Zn which is reasonable; much more than that may be damaging.

It eats cats. Thats why new oils dont have any
Manufacturers were spending a fortune in warranty claims for emissions as cats were being eaten
They applied pressure to have it removed from all regular " non racing" oil
They did not care as much about wear long after warranty than their pocket book
