I am making reproduction Porsche engine cases!

Excellent post. Thank you. I completely forgot about the air cooled stuff as I was in a water cooled mindset.

That case IS awesome, the only problem is that the final year Mezgers (2012-2013 GT3) got the case casting operation moved to Spain, and those cases are pretty much crap from a quality standpoint.

I am almost positive someone has done this. Biggest problem would be fitting enough radiators to the front of the car and running coolant lines. It could be done however. Awesomeness would ensue.....

I wonder if the cases used in the street cars got a lower end product? The dual squirter Motorsport case I have is a 2017 manufacture and is marked “Made in Germany”. It's a beautiful piece..

Thanks Clive!
Yep, I'm a retired movie producer and let me tell you, every time you get a film off the ground it's like winning the lottery, that's how rare and hard it is. It's extremely hard to get all the moving parts lined up, and it rarely ever happens, so I had great training in trying to string together a diverse group of people to accomplish a mission.
There is no chance of failure here, because I won't let it fail, die, or stagnate.
Thanks for the kind words.

I'm a big fan of people taking on challenges and figuring out how to make it happen.

Subscribed. This thread is better than a trump tarriff, pts window, deviated stitching, cxx option thread.
Now to find a nice roller...

... and my mother taught me some manners as well, so I am only checking in on the status of the cases every couple of months. ... well, at least limiting my comments to every other month.
Hope things are going well

Really exciting project. I'm thrilled that I found this today, and just by chance on a Google search, too. I'll definitely be following progress (just filled out an interest card on the website, too). This solves so many problems, including the piston squirters.
I'm planning two engine builds right now, both using the LN Engineering 106mm barrels for 109mm case registers. Since your cases will all be CNC machined, will you include this spec in the order, rather than the purchaser needing to get them bored out separately?

I think I've asked before in this thread but have You considered contacting Porsche Classic and ask if they are intetested in offering these blocks to their customers? That would make them official genuine Porsche replacement blocks, ant that would be a great marketing advantage!
