Why can't i fit these H4 on an 86 Targa?
i probably shouldn't post same Q on 2 diff forums, but hey..here we go.
hi, i'm trying to swap out these sugar scoops on this 1986 targa with H4 headlights with chrome trim that i took off my 77 - it seems i can't get them to fit - are they not interchangebale? i mean the 86 doesn't have H5 on it, it has sugar scoop which makes me think it would be an easy swap. I need a conversion kit? or am i just so terrible at any mechanical work that i can't even put in headlights..i was able to replace the yellow rear tails with red ones lol

Did you ever get it? Sometimes the new rubber is too thick and stiff. Put it out in the sun and let it warm up.

Yes got it- after terrible struggle, they aren't even on right really and i ripped the seal off and have no seal lol. Got her all detailed today..i'm almost in need of another canyon run ...
