Update on the 86 Mossgreen Metallic 5 speed
I am in the middle of a refurb on an 86 5 speed. it has about 180K miles and seems to run pretty good it has a Louis Ott X pipe and 2 1/2 in pipe all the way to the back.
The brakes were toast and the LF spindle was blue so here are a few pictures

A couple of notes. First the car is an early 86 no sunroof no side strips,
the first pictured spindle is the new replacement part, the second is the blued unit.
This car appears to have come with the longer rear studs and slide on factory spacers, I am also installing new rear shocks,
and replacing the front adjusters for the shocks as they are frozen,
car came with a new recovered vinyl dash and the pod was redone by Rob Budd.
I am searching for a new used leather console as the original is pretty well hacked up

Looks like the put a hole in the center of the main dash too...
That is standard on the long studs on the factory S cars...all of mine have had the slide on spacers.
Will be a great save when you are done. That center console does looked hacked up...nice try at a Keith Widom center console, but I give it a Fail unfortunately!

Hi Stan: That looks like a nice project for you!
Did you paint the whole brake discs, and let the pads scrape away what's not needed?
That interior looks like quite a challenge. It's an interesting hodge podge of vinyl and leather covered items, and the pod cover is "off" at the top. I hope you can make it nice and clean looking again!

Mike ,they were for an O2 read out and boost pressure as the PO was going to supercharge the engine.
too bad they are coming off.
when driving, light is reflected on them and back at the driver, its a distraction.
Nicole the rotors are called coated they are done this way to prevent corrosion anyway on the instructions it mentions to not clean off the coating the brake pads will do that I dont know what the coating is it doesnt look like paint.
Greg N. suggested to clean it off so the pads wont get damaged but i will try following the MFG instructions and if needed clean the pads after the car is driven

I had to install the engine harness at my friends shop it took about 5 hours to RnR the wires, engine cranked right up and ran steady.
amazing what a good set of wires will do.

This car has never been in better hands!!!
I don't know, if there is a simple front bumper fix short of a full respray, but the smaller chips might become much less visible with the Dr. Colorchip touch-up paint. This stuff seems to work well on darker colors, but not on silver.
