Default Gearcase / Diff break in oil change?

As the engine break-in oil change has been discussed to death, what about the gearcase/diff/trans-diff oil change after break in. Although the engine is the most valuable component in the drive-line, if you've got it up on the hoist why not do it all?

Thoughts??

Not sure if the interval is different, but the transaxle oil in the Manual GT3 is good for 96,000 miles...

I did this in my 991.2 GT3 along with the initial post break-in change ... why would you not, there is absolutely no downside other than the expense, and the engine drivetrain *is* the heart of the car
and one of the major wear "components"...

I agree with Larry on this one....but I would leave the transmission oil a bit longer, specially if you have the "1-2 grind".
I changed mine on the 981 GT4 at 10K miles it did make a difference....of course lots of track miles

Why leave it longer if you have the 1/2 gear grind? Mine did but seems to have subsided. Its also the main reason i'm asking this question. also, how did the gearcase change make a difference?

Thanks!

The grind should go away....but it requires some miles. On the other hand I always take out the break in oil at 2K miles.
When I changed the transmission oil the shift were a lot smoother.
At the end it's up to you and wont hurt the drivetrain.
