Finally my new black GT4
Whoo Hoo. After a 2 year wait, or thereabouts, finally collected the new car!!
Sticker says it was built in October 2019 but got held up due to the recall. Really happy with the Aurum wheels and the yellow accents. Car looks fantastic.
But first the pics before the first impressions and comments.
There is something interesting in one pic. See if you can spot it.

Red key ring and red 981 GT4
Looks great in JPS Gold and Black - whats happening with the red one? Aurum looks great on black or white.
Also the MPSC2 have a more rounded outer shoulder which is dimpled

Red one is for sale. Its has Trofeo R tyres which are really good when hot and pretty good cold.

The front nose clearance on the 981 is 107mm and on the 718 its 123mm. So allas I already noticed no more scrapy scrape.
The bimodal exhaust switching is different to the 981. At least for Australia, on is on always.
The 718 sadly, like reported on youtube, is open on idle and closes around 2500 RPM. Downshift blips results is virtually no noise. Its very boring compared the the 981.
Truely the worst thing for me is the lack of exhaust character like the 981.
Makes some odd ping ping engine noises. Not looked into that yet.
Definately a much better and flatter torque curve. I could not help myself had one small squirt to 6500 ish RPM.
PASM works better than the 981 but not as good as 987.2.

Nice specs! I wasn't sure about the black on the configurator but it's reality it's quite nice, especially with those wheels

Congrats!!
What's the plastic shield protecting the rear wing? Shipping bits?
Never saw one of those before.
Looks great with the wheels. Enjoy for many kilometers in the best of health.
The social distance sign at the dealer is a reminder of the times and how precious good health is!

GT4 looking great, enjoy it! Nice house down under, too.
I have my Spyder since January and got the recall concerning the right side fuel line too. It was actually done yesterday, despite the corona lockdown. Dealer said it could be seen as a potential hazard therefore it was a "necessary action" which allows for driving it to them and back afterwards. Needless to say, it was a great 45' drive. Did nothing but grocery rides the last month.

I know! Just got it for a looks thing so all the yellow bits tie together well.
In the past I would never have selected that, but glad I did and being matt works really well.
Plastic shield? I cant see that. Which bit?
Congrats!!
