GT4RS getting new engine

Saw this thread looking to see if there was any trend in blown motors.. we have 2 GT4RS , both with less than break in miles, with engine failure due to LOSS of oil pressure.

Oil Pump failure which leads to starvation and then kaboom. Not just isolated to 4RS, examples of 992 GT3/RS failures also.

My oil was changed at the first yearly service in October of 2023 at about 2100 miles. I sent an oil sample to Blackstone for analysis. It came back clean except for a note about high iron and aluminum numbers but also said this was normal in the first oil change after break-in. I also insisted that the servicing dealer print the engine data report. That was clean also with no over revs. My oil pressure issue happened at about 2300 miles, 200 miles later!!
My GT4RS was flat bedded to a Northern NJ dealership who is still waiting for word from PAG as to when they will have a new engine. It looks like I am in a long wait. I have decided that I will contact PCNA if I do not hear anything in a reasonable amount of time. I have owned Porsches for 55 years and all this is not the "old Porsche AG".

Not so cut and dried. With the 991.1 GT3, the values rose with engine replacements (as it meant you had some improvements). And if you have higher miles, a zero-mile (identical) replacement would raise the value as well. In this case, I would say it would be close to no difference (to slightly less than original value). Porsche motors are easily changed and it's not a big deal.

With the 991.1 GT3, a new engine (esp. a G engine) meant that supposedly it was an "improved" engine (over the E and F iterations) where the finger follower issue was remedied. In other words, with the 991.1 GT3, you're actually getting a different (improved?) engine.
Here, you're getting the same engine, just a new one. But it's still the same engine.

Now we have two new similar cases from China, both cars were delivered in around May this year. Not oil pump problem. Dealer sent report and data to Germany and waiting for reply, asking for a new engine. The old engine is not disassembled yet, no one has an idea about what went wrong.
