Looks awesome. When can we expect to see some draggy times? Very keen to see what you can achieve with the PDK

I am 100% interested in your wing once its released!

In the mean time, will you be offering the dive planes and front splitters? I have added the 4RS aero to my GT4. This would be a nice addition!

We’re back on track Thursday and will be running times and back to back testing with the current exhaust and then swapping out the factory rear for one of our valved race pipes too

It’s a non silenced day (no noise limits) so a perfect day for this kind of testing

Hi JC, I was wondering if you could give us an insight about the part install. When you were installing the side curtain piece from GT4 RS, did you drill the OEM bumper for the 4 holes like the RS's pre-drilled bumper or did you just use double-sided tape such as 3M? Thank you!

Just 3M VHB tape, it’s neat, near invisible and more than strong enough to secure the parts long term

With your swan wing uprights will they be taller than the stock upgrights? Seems to me the trend in the past has been to use extensions to make the wing higher which obviously is not possible with the swan neck. Also improve rear window visability.

Yes a little higher and further rearward too plus a more aggressive base AOA

Lots more info to share but we’re taking a fresh approach and setting ourselves apart from the crowd in the way that we’re developing and manufacturing our wing upright options

MINI UPDATE // DONINGTON PARK GP CIRCUIT (NON SILENCED DAY)

Last week we headed back to Donington Park GP circuit for the second time this year but this time for a fully unsilenced day courtesy of RMA.

Unsilenced days are great because they allow us freedom to run whichever combination of exhaust parts we wish on the car without the worry of black flags.

The previous exhaust set up consisted of the following components:
INCONEL RACE MANIFOLDS
INCONEL LINK PIPES (RACE CATTED)
INCONEL TIP ADAPTORSTITANIUM WEISSACH TIPS

We decided to make the most of the lack of sound restrictions and swap out the factory rear silenced from our car and installed our Titanium Valved Race Pipe (Silenced) along with a set of our Titanium Megaphone Tips.

The new exhaust set up is now as follows:

INCONEL RACE MANIFOLDS
INCONEL LINK PIPES (RACE CATTED)
TITANIUM VALVED RACE PIPE (SILENCED)
TITANIUM MEGAPHONE TIPS

The difference in sound is pretty remarkable. The deeper grumble replaced with a much more race car like high pitched shriek at full throttle approaching 8000rpm.

Not only is the sound much more aggressive but the weight has also been dropped by a further 10kg and the performance again improved due to improved flow of the JCR rear silencer replacement. Peak speed on the back straight was 139mph (stock car 133mph) and for some context a 991.2 GT3 RS pulls 142mph.

This day wasn't all about making a great sound however, we also took time to further dial in the cars suspension settings and tested some new geometry settings. All of which were very positive changes which we will carry on to Spa and Nurburgring at the end of this month.

With Donington Park GP being such a flowing high speed circuit it also highlighted just how much of a difference our latest aero improvements have made to the balance and overall performance of the car.

Last time we lapped here in the original JCR 718 GT4 we managed a lap time of 1:41.82 and on this latest day the JCR 718 GT4 v2.0 posted a time of 1:39.72 which is a huge improvement of -2.10 seconds with no more power as the original GT4 time was set with the exact same exhaust modifications installed.

Admittedly, comparing day to day with such a long period of time in between is never a great idea when testing parts back to back however we can safely say with such a huge improvement we're certainly on the right track, with plenty more to come!

April was a very busy and productive month for product testing and development which makes us even more excited moving into May where we travel to Spa Francorchamps and the mighty Nurburgring Nordschleife with our friends at Manthey Racing.

We can't wait to share how we get along!

That photographer has some great shots... especially that fourth one at what looks like full compression

Looks mega! Really got me thinking about aero.

What rake measurements are you running?

Does the JCR wing sit up higher than the club sport wing? Sure looks like it from the picture but it could be the angle of the picture.

In house kit and photographer, only way to do things right when it comes to media

Depends where you measure from but around 9mm more than stock

Yes higher than the Clubsport wing, will have to check the drawings for exact measurements

Could you further clarify for this upcoming uprights are they for the OEM wing? or they will be a part of a new wing set up that competes with the CS wing?
the way it seems is its a foil style wing + made from thin carbon exposed fiber meaning not oem, also will it have settings/ adjustments of attack modes?
I wonder why no one is using a DRS on their wing system as of yet although technology should've advanced for the aftermarket parts nowadays

defiantly interested to see your updates JCR and planning to transform my GT4 soon!

This may seem like an elementary question, but how much noise volume difference would one expect to hear between the "race-catted" inconel link pipes versus the titanium silenced link pipes? Would there be a drastic difference?

The wing uprights are suitable for the OEM 718 GT4 RS wing however we're also producing our own wing (direct replacement for the 718 GT4 RS) and with use of the JCR Wing Uprights will also fit onto 981 and 718 GT4

Yes, the uprights have the same mounting as factory so you retain the wing angle adjustment which is built into the wing brackets

DRS is certainly possible however integrating neatly into the OEM system wouldn't be a small task and the calling for this kind of offering is pretty small, in our experience.

We haven't yet completed the development on the silenced link pipes however they would (with valves open) be louder than the race catted version as our silenced link pipes are totally straight through with valves open and only quieten things down once the valves are closed
