My build came out to $210,115. My PTS color would be Riviera Blue (when you select PTS on configurator, it renders in this green) and I would add CXX Pepita inserts to the LWBS and change the top of the center arm rest to Pepita just like on my current Spyder so that would add about another $10k to price. If I had a go at this, I might even ask about doing the door cards in CXX to remove the Race-Tex along the lower part of the door/arm rest and making it leather and adding leather to the parts that are plastic on my Spyder on the door.
It's always fun to mess around on the configurator and dream.

$140k cad for this and it comes with pdk and buckets standard? I’m very surprised. If you were planning on getting a GT4 with those 2 options that makes this crazy good value and if you’re lucky enough to be liked by your dealer enough to actually be able to order an almost stripper version at msrp you are getting some real good value.
2 negative opinions though:
2 negative opinions though:
- Magnesium wheels ….. quite the price gouge there for them. No way I’d option those for that money (I have a set of magnesium rims. The weight savings on OE magnesium rims is often less than what aftermarket aluminum rims). IMO they do not make sense on a street car because they still weigh a ton due to street safety. If you pick up a magnesium wheel for a open wheel car….. I can lift those with a tire mounted with one finger.
- Color selection for a RS is wonky. 2 whites 2 greys 1 black and 1 super dark blue that looks black half the time, and 3 colors that stand out.
and apologies to the blokes down undah as even that is a cracking deal!
what is really F’d is how Carrara white on the Canadian configurator is $4,000. Is that a keying error on corporate or what is going on here?!

Yes, seeing that message now on US configurator. . Not that I have any prayer of an allocation, but I spec'd a Guards Red stripper with with some Race Tex delete, colored gauges and belts for about 147 k. I would track the hell out of it. While it would add nothing to the experience, I would get the WP also. The CF hood and engine cover are irresistible. For now, happy that my 2018 Cayman S 4 banger is worth exactly what I paid for it new four years ago and I've enjoyed the hell out of it on both road and track. If ever available to mere mortals at MSRP or modest (< 10k) ADM, GT4RS is a no brainer. If not, hopefully supply chain gets back to normal so I can 'settle' for a GT4 . With the move away from ICE, the GT4RS will go down in history as a benchmark machine.

Race Car
Anyone that knows anything about acoustics knows that the sound inside this car will be different than that of the GT3. The air intake is in the SAME F* CABIN AS YOUR HEAD. And to boot, it's a dual intake with variable resonance. It would probably make Helmholtz soil himself. The Bose sound system in this car will be, how do you say, like an 80 year old man's weiner, "ineffectual".
This car may actually prove to be MORE FUN and outrageous than the GT3.

Am I the only one who thinks the Weissach package is a waste of money? It's literally all cosmetic changes. That's an enormous amount to spend on a race-tex dashboard. No Carbon Roof, No weight savings otherwise. It's a no brainer option in 991 generation cars but just a pure money grab in this car.
At least in Australia we get the titanium rollcage, but at $30k vs the no cost clubsport pack, the WP is mental, and gets even more mental if you get the wheels as well.

Edit, I think a comparable GT4 is actually about $116k once adding in some of the standard features like dual climate and the interior carbon bits.

yeah I'm liking this more and more as a 'base' car. Has mostly the same carbon bits, just not exposed as the WP. Comparable 'base' GT4 would be $113k. But extra 30k nets the 500hp and better gears....what a car.

Is there an authoritative source for what the Weissach package is? It is not clear to me if the "exposed carbon" hood, wing, and mirrors are also the same carbon fiber on the non-Weissach cars. 13k for the Weissach if it is adding a carbon fiber hood, wing, and mirrors plus the other stuff makes sense. If it is just taking off the paint. . . not so much.

Looks like the RS has 30mm lower PASM, same as the GT4. Are people optioning the lift? Is it necessary? Seems like one more thing to break.

"The optional Weissach Package enhances the performance-focused appearance of the GT4 RS even further. When this option is selected, the front luggage compartment lid, process air intakes, cooling air intakes, air box lid, exterior mirrors caps and the rear wing are made of carbon fiber. Exhaust tips made of titanium are inspired by the exhaust of the Porsche 935/19. The upper part of the dashboard is upholstered in Race-Tex with this option, while the rear window features a large Porsche logo type. Magnesium wheels are available as an addition to the Weissach Package for an additional cost."

I just looked through this whole thread and didn't see the answer or a 50 page brochure.
Let me put this another way: Could someone supply a link or source for what the differences are between Weissach and non-Weissach GT4RSs? Or, could someone answer whether the non-Weissach cars are to have carbon fiber hoods, wings, and mirrors?
