This is quite accurate. Porsche expanded their customer base with automatic option for GT cars. Saw a lady in her 60’s probably drive around in a 992 GT3 a few weeks ago. Was thinking ‘why the hell did you buy that?’. Maybe her husband’s car…

Driving a manual is not as easy but its not rocket science. My wife has been driving manual since she was 18 and on nice days she likes to take my car. She has a lead foot. 🤐

My wife is in her 50s and has done more than a hundred track days in manual cars. She’s also PCA instructor. I bet she’s a better driver than the vast majority of guys who’ll buy the SRS.

The aero is interesting on this car, though somewhat neutered with the deletion of the wing, but the star of the show is obviously the engine. On day to day drives, with a few pulls here and there, just cruising around top down and enjoying the car (sounds, feel etc), would I even notice the racebread GT3 engine behind me??

Absolutely not. Everyone should just cancel their RS orders. Yeah that would probably be best...
Seriously though, high reving motors need to be reving to get the most out of them. GT3 motor is best suited for track or very aggressive street driving (I didn't tell you to do it) 🤐
For day to day a 911Turbo is better. Lower rpm torque & awd makes it more user friendly.
Then again that PDK does shift really quick, so you could make the GT3 work.
Personally this won't be my daily but I do plan road trips.

a question for those of you who own or have ridden in a friends GT4RS with buckets.
Is there any power to the passenger LWB seat? for height?
I assume there is power for height on the drivers LWB? Isn't that required by law?

Thank you both.
I'm curious what you all think will be the expect percent of 18 ways vs LWB for the Spyder RS sold in north america?
Clearly LWB are the way to go for track focused cars like the GT3RS and GT4RS.
However, a spyder is a fun car not track car and so I think it less of a heresy to order 18 ways for a spyder RS compared to GT4RS.

LWBS free and of course “RS” so expect that it’ll be significant. Probably 75+%.
I had LWBS in my 987 Spyder (included free) and liked them. Ingress/egress can be a chore, especially with sun shade on. Got the 18 ways on my 718 Spyder and have enjoyed them…perfect for us.
With that being said, if I get an allocation I’m leaving it with the buckets.
We drive almost exclusively with top stowed so in/out easier.
