The sad / funny thing is that joking about not getting the car is the closest I will get to the feeling of owning one. C’est la vie.

Well, I guess I am doubling down on Spyders. Per my post on another thread, I secured an allocation this week for a 2022 Spyder and got that on order, with a dealer on the East Coast.
That left me with a couple deposits in with my local dealer to apply to something other than my next 718 4.0. So I had them start a list for a forthcoming Spyder RS, and I am at the top it!

So looks like allocations will drop in Feb/March in the US for July/Aug deliveries.

I assume the 4rs announcement means the same gt3 motor is a shoe-in for the spyder RS. "Baby" speedster indeed...which isn't hideous, like mom. lol

I must be the most boring human alive, because I don't watch any tv. I struggle to get through any movie... all I see are bad actors acting on a set, I can't suspend my annoyingly critical thinking to believe the story. Also I can predict most endings, most movies feel like deja-vu or lame or gratuitous.

In the German interview, AP said that part of the reason why the GT4RS doesn't have a manual option is that they don't have a transmission that would work. The one from GT4 is too weak and the gearing is too long for a 9k engine and the one from GT3 doesn't fit (although we've heard that argument before ...).
That would mean no manual Spyder RS as they aren't going to develop a new one.
