Anybody with active satellite enabled subscription for VesselFinder or Marine traffic with an update on Siem Cicero progress? “Free” app is outdated as vessel in open sea and latest info is from 29 hrs ago. TIA

Time is money for any commercial vessel. She will quite likely be on time on 17 July in Halifax even if she met heavy weather (based on my experience of, let's say, too many years in the Navy). What I did last year, when I was checking out the Ro-Ro carrying my GT4, was to start checking the night before the ETA on marinetraffic.com. Otherwise, even if you could track it across the pond, all you see is a vessel following the great circle route for 6 days at the stately speed of 14-15 knots.

I would not recommend spending the money to track the ship in the open sea especially if this is all you would be using it for. Once it gets closer to land, you'll see updated info but while it's in the open sea, just trust that it's moving along. As mentioned above, check in about a day or so before the scheduled arrival date to see if it arrived at the next port and keep checking every so often until you see it pinged.

If nothing goes wrong at the last minute then my Shark Blue GTS will enter production this Friday! I suppose it will be one of the first 718's in that color since MY22 production only just started.
Delivery early August, knock on wood (and every other surface possible).

It'll be nice for me to salivate over some Shark Blue pics in the meantime I guess haha

I just got an update from my SA.
My car has entered factory compound Kornwestheim (V333) but there is a new "U013" code for "Exit plant compound Zuffenhausen" and the usual V334 "Exit factory compound Kornwestheim" is still not complete yet.
Anyone know what the U013 code is, that wasn't on the initial plan? Is that normal?

LWBS makes a lot of sense if you plan to track your car. And if you’re planning on tracking, you’re probably going to choose the spyder/gt4. I’ve owned LWBS in my previous GT3 and while they look fantastic, I went 18-way seats with with easier ingress/egress for daily use in my BGTS 4.0. But LWBS in a GTS is fantastic and go for it if you like. They will only be a net positive for resale as well

My boat appears to have veered off course before coming to a stop off the West Coast of Africa. Of course this makes the mind wander.
1. Pirates?
2. Mechanical difficulties?
3. Routine stop for supplies or crew change?

I am waiting for my Spyder:
PDK
crayon
satin black wheels
extended leather
contrasting stitching in red
bose
Taking delivery in December.
I had a several 911s in the past and always loved them, especially my 991.1 Carrera S. But my experiences driving a GT3 on a track in Queensland left me wanting more. I tried the new 992 - beautiful car but very civilised unless pushed very (illegally) hard, and not much different really from the 991 apart from the modernised interior. So I have wanted a GT car for some time. I drove a Cayman GT4 and it is very satisfying. But I also have had a yen for a convertible. So the Spyder ticks all the boxes.
And it looks beautiful to my eye, and has a relative rarity value here in Australia.
Can't wait to have it.
