Official Waiting Room for 718 Spyder / GT4 / GTS Delivery...

Just so you know, mine moved around a few times on TYD - the slippage might be real, but it also might not end up being that bad. I think they tend to underpromise with the hope of over-delivering.

It looks like the Siem Confucius is closing in on Baltimore and is due to arrive this weekend!

As you scroll through the different sections of the “discover this phase” portion of the site, you should find that the stock imagery in the “Body Shop” and “Final Assembly” paragraphs have been replaced by photos of your car.

I guess your car goes into a black hole when at the receiving port. Is there any way to check on its status? From what I have heard, tyd is even more useless, once you’re off the boat.

Has anybody received any updates regarding when Porsche will once again accept orders for PCCB's on the 718 GT4 and Spyder? I notice PCCB's are still offered on the new 2023 Configurator for GT4's and Spyders sold in the USA.
Thanks...
Thanks...

Here’s a wacky idea…sell my new PCCBs for Porsche replacement cost (-5%) when my car arrives, and pay for ST replacements AND walk away with a chunk of cash. lol

I know my dealer told me they routinely get such notification. (Although it probably goes to the Business Manager and perhaps not all SAs are in the know.) Your SA will likely have an idea of the average and range of turnaround times from the port.

Officially Bon Voyage
Thank you to everyone here who make this forum a great resource and especially during building my 1st ever Porsche. Dolomite Silver and Blue Roof/Interior turned out better than I could have ever imagined.
For those on the fence on any of these options:
- painted glossy black front fascia and rear diffuser is worth twice the price. It looks so good in person and I am glad I took a flyer on this one not being able to ever see it in person. So happy to be rid of the ABS plastic.
- platinum wheels work really well with Dolomite (although not that it matters now that Dolomite is no longer available)
- Graphite Blue interior is stunning. So glad I did not go the black route and tried to create a classic looking Boxster with some other combination. Full deviated stitching worth every penny, zero regrets spending the $$ on it. As soon as I saw it I was smiling, it looks great.
- LEDs definitely give it an upscale feel (not that it needs it), also glad I didn't cut corners on this one.
- upgraded aluminum PDK shifter. Nice touch that the leather matches the blue. But I have always loved this shifter for some weird reason, almost spent $1k to get one for my 911. Easy tick of the box and I think it is worth $300 easily, just looks special again.
- brushed aluminum trim. I first saw this on a 991.2 4S I test drove in Toronto, and as soon as sat in that car it was the first thing I noticed. Up to that point I only had seen the regular plastic version or the painted version. It really looks good, and fits right in with the classic vibe I wanted.
- Rear painted model designation. I really wanted a logo back there, but not black. Nor chrome. So I blacked out the Porsche which I love in person now, and painted the designation. The painted designation looks wonderful in person with being paint matched, really happy I went this combo.
- painted black calipers. Glad I also ticked this box as they really allow the platinum wheels to be on their own and also does not add another (red) colour into the overall mix.
- Burmester. Where do I start. One of the more controversial options for a Boxster, but one drive home and already am madly in love with it. Big upgrade over my 911 BOSE.
Until we meet again in this room...

Not sure if it is universal, but I believe the port sends an email notification to the dealer when each car ships from the port, as I think title may transfer at that point and the dealer gets invoiced.

I can kinda second this. I haven't experienced it first hand yet however my SA said something similar and then the finance manager seconded it stating that once they knew it was on a truck I could pay for it. No money will exchange hands until I get eyes on it though.
Also what is going on with Glovis Supreme!? Headed north for a day and now back sitting at the mouth of the canal waiting in line.... At this rate @SpyderSenseOC is going to pull the UNO reverse card and pass myself and Todd up.

Entry port to dealer is contracted haulage…generally Reliable for my port/dealer.
They tell me they get a call day of or day prior.
Always some interesting stuff on the carrier, not always new Porsche’s.
I’m only 200 miles from the port, so suspect those far away get more of a heads up.
