The earliest I have seen posted on here of the BUILD date is 7/15(for 2022 builds and susbequently Shark Blue). I have seen a 2021 build posted on here of 7/14. Not saying that is the "break point" but it might be. Mine is a 7/16 build with a 9/17 delivery. That delivery date has floated around a bit. It was originally 9/10. My SA said there is a good chance it will be earlier since we live in a major port(Houston) and likely not much delay on the transfer from ship to dealership. So to answer your question, Early September unless someone else has a different take on it. And trust me....it is a bit nerve racking ordering a color I have never seen....and then going with the yellow interior trim. But I think it will look awesome!!!
Huh interesting! Looks like we have very close build dates! My ‘22 V250 entry to body shop is 7/9 and V300 completion is 7/16. So I guess I might not see any real shark blue 718s until I take delivery of mine! Lol

My 2022 Spyder is scheduled to enter production July 9th and exit July 16th, delivery Sept. 10th. I would have loved to have seen a Porsche in Shark Blue before the freeze date. I had to settle for seeing some VW’s in Cornflower Blue instead, which is the same as Shark Blue. I reluctantly changed my color to Chalk the next day since I know that color well. I had a Chalk Cayman before . I still have mixed feelings changing the color, but I didn’t want to take that chance.

So we have the exact same build dates, but out of curiosity have you already hit your freeze date? Mine is scheduled for 7/2, but my SA said it might freeze earlier. So I’m not really sure how much time I have left.

Also, were you not satisfied with the shark blue GT3 pics? I do wish I would’ve seen some shark blue 718s as well, but I’m confident it’ll look good regardless!

According to the system at the Porsche dealership my freeze point was 06/16 but the vehicle fixed date is 07/02. I called to confirm today if I can make any changes and was told no. I guess there is a difference between freeze date and vehicle fixed.

Maybe it was the light conditions outside, but the Cornflower Blue / Shark Blue seemed darker in person than in photos I have seen online. I was surprised. If my vehicle wasn’t frozen yet I would still consider changing to Shark Blue. I have never owned a Blue car , so may have been a nice change. I do like Voodoo Blue in person which is distinctly different now that I have seen both up close.

I have a GT4 on order and it is now at status V220. For the life of me I can't find out what status V220 means. And, yes, I have combed through the postings to rennlist too. My Brand Ambassador says that means it is frozen, but I thought that was V250, etc. Anyway, it is not too important since I'm not planning on making any changes (I've already driven the dealership crazy enough with changes), but I would be interested in knowing the answer if any of you know!

Nice memory Bob! I wonder if she still has the cap….

Thanks for sharing.

Lol, my SA just sent me my final build sheet and it says V210 - Change Freeze Point reached. So yet another random number. My V250 is expected on 7/2

Did you get an email directly from Porsche when it changed from V200?

Last time I talked to my SA, he said as soon as the build locks and is out of V200, I would get an email from Porsche with a link to "track your dream" to monitor the progress.

Hmm no I didn't yet. My freeze might have been 6/16, so it's been a few days. Maybe it'll come on the real "Vehicle Fixed" date which is V250, or in my case estimated for 7/2. From the previous comments seems like Freeze and "Vehicle Fixed" are two separate stages.

...or do i have to go knocking at my SA's door to get my progress tracker enabled!?

@flynlo i have the same 9/17 delivery date as well for my ‘22 Shark Spyder. I’m assuming it’ll enter through Long Beach, CA and then off to PECLA so hopefully earlier than later.

I totally get what you’re saying about ordering sight unseen but from all the photos I’ve gathered, Shark looks really close to Voodoo which is one of my favorite blues (Voodoo, Mexico, Arrow). It’ll be nice to have a new color on the road but it won’t last long seeing that it’s a standard option on ‘22s 😅

I have a Shark Blue GT4 with 9/17 delivery too but mine will go through port of San Diego. Estimated arrival at San Diego on 9/10 and arrive at dealer on 9/17.

Can’t wait to see all these shark blues running around in OC.

I am doing a PECLA delivery too. My Spyder is showing arriving on September 10 at “the dealer” according to the system. However, it will be arriving at the port in Houston. I read somewhere, that PECLA delivery’s arrive in Houston……just in time for peak hurricane season, hopefully things will be quiet in the Gulf. I chickened out on ordering Shark Blue sight unseen, which has me second guessing myself.

Basically the total opposite direction. I went with Chalk since I had a Chalk Cayman before. I went from Bold to Sedate / subtle , but it is a safe choice for me.
