Hey Don, how do you know you won't make Freedom Ace? She's still in Emden now and may not sail until tomorrow. She looks to be due in Jacksonville on April 15th -- more than two weeks earlier than you're suggesting, no?
TYD Updated and apparently I am on the Freedom Ace, whew, missed having to be on ADrifts boat .
That should mean she gets there 2 weeks earlier than TYD is specifying so looks like early May pickup at PECAtlanta as Porsche originally scheduled back in January before a boat fire, sinking, and Eastern European war. Sheesh.
As for my boat, I hear they are arranging for extra EVs to be crammed onboard, all from cheaper, shadier automakers. Oh, and some nuclear waste transfer, too.
So the Grand Legacy has just left Emden for the west coast of the US. Anyone know they are on this boat? Pretty sure I am not. :-(
The Glovis Supreme is now in Bremerhaven, headed to Emden, and is the next vessel headed to the west coast of the US. But unless it's going to sit there for a long time, its dates don't seem to align with my May 27th delivery date. Antares Leader appears to have been scratched so it's anyone's guess what's after the Glovis Supreme.
I was pushed back to 5/27 delivery from 5/7, but checked last night and it was on a boat and pulled in to 5/13 arrival on the grand legacy! Emotional rollercoaster but Super psyched.
I guess my build is going to go to the actual expected date (ie tomorrow)...I keep checking TYD hoping it has progressed. Of course, the arrival of tomorrow only means there is the amazing chance to be disappointed again... "We meant 4/1/2023!" lol Still, it will be fun to see the days counter reach 0 for the CP8 expected deadline, tonight.

Just so you don't swallow a handful of pills tomorrow, keep in mind that Friday is often said to be the day of most TYD updates. However, mine came out of production on a Friday also -- and it took a few days to update/backdate. When they got around to sending me the photo I could see the date on the piece of paper in the windshield and it had been a handful of days earlier. If you get word before the 5th --- consider it fast.
Meanwhile, you'd be surprised how quickly you can become an expert on your nearest port, where the webcams are, the history behind it, the roads used to offload from a ship, the weather there. Who heads up the local union, etc. I swear this process would be good training for becoming an MI6 or NSA operative, (sorting the facts from the bad info. TYD would be ranked as a semi-trustworthy source in the Kremlin.)

You know that picture everyone gets of thier car completed. I fully expect yours to be upsidedown on fire with emergency crews on scene and then the next picture being we seem to be experiencing temporary technical difficulties.
