Presumably, enclosing a mothball in one's car will deter rats from nesting in the car during the cold months.
Outdoor lots have rats too. So, only indoor garages seem to be a safe haven. If you park in an outdoor garage, try to get your car elevated. As of now, NYC rats can't fly, but that might change. Those f*ckers are fearless and very industrious. They'll probably learn how to stack themselves and climb up that stack like Baron Munchausen (sp?).
Denver Airport has a rabbit problem along the lines of NYC's rat problem. Out there, rabbits are eating cars.

My dealership's repair shop enclosed a mothball somewhere in the undercarriage of my former Porsche. It seems to have worked, but, it's also true that I've avoided streets/areas with high rodent traffic. I no longer park near trash and/or in front of restaurants (no easy feat in NYC).

I met Charles and spoke to him over the phone before delivery. Very nice person, as were Eric who led the presentation and Andy my driving instructor. While having lunch at Restaurant 917, my friend bumped into a friend of his who was going to McKenna ( I think ) Porsche afterwards to take delivery of his Mint Green Spyder.

If anyone has had a change of heart and can slide their allocation/delivery over to a third party, I'm ready to step in and pay the price. ADM is Ok within reason. PCCB's and 18 ways are a must. No black.

Seems that maybe PECLA is getting so busy, Charles has help now.

track your dream
My freeze date was 10-06-21. and I called Porsche NA to try and get an invitation link to Track Your Dream. The customer service agent said they will send on a request to get me a link...3 days passed and nothing. I called my dealer who said I should get a link when my car passes the freeze date. I then find out my new freeze date is 10-22-21 but my delivery date is still 12-31-21. I am a bit disappointed, but I hope that delivery date is still accurate...my order was submitted 07-31-21. What are the delivery dates looking like for others with July/August builds?

Like the Chalk
Every time I see photos of the Chalk I sure do like it. I went GT Silver which is a little boring but I thought might be a timeless classic (plus I just did not love any of the current 'colors'). But Chalk looks great so congrats and glad you had a good time at PECLA. I am looking forward to my time there (at some point!).

Yea, I was told it would be one of the first GTS. I'm not disappointed about the scheduling, I just wanted mine before the shut down to be able to drive it while it was nice out. I'd imagine it's an allocation that's tied to a build number at the plant...that's about the only way I can explain why getting an allocation before others puts me further back of the line (unless it is related to my specific build that has some full leather options and seat stuff, which with the current chip shortage could be part of it).
Do some of you folks that have July/August/Sept deliveries have 18 way seats or just LWBS / 2ways? Thanks!
