Would someone mind posting the route(s)?

I've never done it, and would probably still be interested at a less exciting pace. Just nice to get out of town for a change.

Sean,

The "Three Sisters" are 335, 336, and 337. Many start the route west out of Medina. Just about any of the roads out there are nice. Have lunch in Leakey. Visit the Lost Maples or Garner State Parks. 16 from Kerrville to Medina is a nice sweeper.

Lots of options.

Have fun!

You can also search for the Twisted Sisters, another name for the Three Sisters. Here's a motorcycle article that has a map and also calls out various places to stop/eat along the way.

Thanks for the help!

For the folks that were heading out from Houston, was there a particular route from Houston to Kerrville? Other than the mundane I-10 blegh.

Most of the roads between 35 and 10 aren’t that interesting, but they’re better than I10.

Regardless of where you get off I10, find your way to New Braunfels and head west on SH46. Turn right on 311, a really nice tight road. Turn right on 281 north and go a few miles up.

Turn left on 473…one of the best Hill Country Roads around.

In Comfort take 27 around to Kerrville.

In all my wandering around the Hill Country, I don't believe I ever ended up on 473 (looking on a map). Thank you for the suggestion!

For bonus points, take a right at Old 9 Road at the T right before Comfort; drive it until ~Fredericksburg. Then lots of options. Watch out for the jump about 4 miles into Old 9 Road. You won't see it coming, but it will be unmistakable when you hit it.

I ended up going to the Exotics and Espresso event at the Arboretum. Was anyone else there?

I was there and also ran into EvilTuna7 with his Guards Red Spyder and GT4man with his new white GT4 - what beauties!

Sorry I didn't figure out you were there. I was parked at the end of the main Porsche row.

On a side note, I ended up parked next to a Voodoo Blue Turbo S (driven by the dealership's owner). The colors were closer than I imagined but Shark Blue is just a little brighter. That's a Sapphire Blue a little further down.

I thought that was your car but didn't see you near it when I walked by. I'm sure we'll meet soon.

We got a little gas burned as well. Backyard bbq not bad and hanger hotel fine too. Good kick off location if we can ever get this across the goal line.

Epic day in Hye yesterday celebrating Texas Independence Day. Auction benefiting the Alamo.

Garrison Brothers is nationally recognized, not far from Fredericksburg.
