@rooster17 There has definitely been a pause in PTS deliveries. I think it's because of the suspension and con rod issues. Hopefully we get back to seeing these in the wild soon. BTW, thanks for starting this thread. Love seeing the PTS cars and what people select as their color choice.

Agree that this San Marino Blue Metallic seems to be very close to Gentian Blue.

Going through the thread, I still LOVE the Azzuro Thetys Metallic. I think it's a beautiful color and I think if I had to choose my PTS color again, I would have a hard time picking between Riviera Blue and Azzuro Thetys Metallic. Good thing I didn't know about the color at the time of my allocation. It's my understanding that it's actually a color from Lamborghini. Wondering if there is a similar color that is originally from Porsche's catalog instead of being from another manufacturer (even if Lambo is under the VW family.)

This is Azzurro Dino, very close to Mexico / Riviera Blue.
It would be interesting to know if the paint codes / formulas are the same or not.

Yes, I would say both comments are correct.

Here are some side-by-side shots of my Albert Blue GTS 4.0 and a Gentian Blue GT4 together from my GTS 4.0 to GT4 comparison adventure from the weekend (see my other thread on that for the details):

Gentian is darker. Gentian IMO has a bit of purple in it, but it doesn't really capture that well here in the pics. Albert Blue is a very "pure" Blue, it doesn't have much else in there, no Purple or Green. (Many of the PTS Blues have a hint of Green or Teal in them.)

The Albert Blue GT4 posted above for sale is very nice! That said, for my tastes I really prefer the Albert Blue for a GTS 4.0 (like mine) for a more Classic vibe with Silver or Satin Platinum Wheels (I have 3 piece HREs on order with Gloss Charcoal Centers and Polished lips, a little of both). If I were to spec a Blue for a GT4, I would personally spec a lighter and brighter Blue than Albert Blue, like Arrow Blue or many of the amazing lighter brighter PTS Blues in this thread, or the "less expensive" Shark Blue (Cornflower Blue? ).

I didn't spec the GTS 4.0 in Albert Blue, I "inherited" it from scooping up a canceled order from a buyer backing out at the last minute. (Thank goodness I did come across that when I did - that was right before the combination of the connector rod stop ship/recall and the industry chip shortage completely wiped out virtually all new and used 4.0L Cayman inventory across the US!)

I really dig the Albert Blue on my car, especially with the contrast with the GTS Interior Package with Carmine Red stitching, Seat Belts and Tachometer Dial! I think it is one of those colors that looks better in person than in pictures. Also it looks much better on a sunny day than a dreary day, like many of the non-metallic medium-darkness colors tend to. On dreary days it tends to look darker and more drab (but still it looks good, just different). As more time has gone by, I love it more and more. (Can't wait for the ordered HRE wheels to complete the Classic look!)

No speed yellow? I used to love that color and was sad to see it go.

^^^ Don't get me wrong. I love your Albert Blue GTS! It will always be unique to folks like us, in the know.

I just think that if I ever had the opportunity to do PTS, I would order a color that is nothing at all like the standard model paint options. If I could have ordered my GT4 as PTS, it would have been Orange or Purple. *0-Day ducks and runs away before he gets commentary about purple cars*

I actually totally agree - if I were to ever order a GT4 or GT3 - there is no question in my mind it would be in Ultra Violet!!

Luckily Miami Blue isn't a current color offering anymore but when you see Miami Blue in person, you can definitely tell it's more of a turquoise/teal/Tiffany Blue color instead of a true smurf blue like Riviera Blue.

Porsche's twitter acct showed a world's first 992 GT3 in Mint Green and I've seen this color floating around on a Spyder and didn't like it but I gotta say, it looked very nice on the GT3.

Love looking at pictures of the 718s (all of them), they’re beautiful in just about all colors.

Good call on the holdups, I haven’t been tracking the recall tread for some time and totally forgot about the issues.

My top three to date, in no particular order, are Signal Yellow, Meissen Blue, and Azzuro Thetys Metallic (agreed, it’s stunning). Porsche paint colors and the history could be an undergrad degree. Pretty sure it would take about four years to figure out.

The lighting makes a massive difference to how a colour appears here are some pictures of my 718 Spyder in Oslo Blue.

I 100% agree with you. IMO, Olso Blue looks superb under indirect lighting like this but under direct it seems to photograph like Guards Red - supersaturated and "hot".

Joining you in Club Osloblau mid-July with a similar build, just with Platinum wheels instead of your beautiful classic silver. I think they'll be a good match with the smokiness of the taillights.

P.s. How's the break-in period coming along? Almost through it? Great things await above 4000 RPMs...

Spyder cluster with a ton of colors in the UK a few weeks ago. Been meaning to post some pics I came across on Instagram. Few PTS sprinkled in, I count two for sure. Maybe a few more, not positive.

If anyone on here went I’d love to hear more.

Thought y'all might find this pic interesting. I went on a drive in the twisties with mostly a bunch of 911s. Sunny and clear but rain the day before left some water/mud still coming across the roads. When we stopped, you could really tell how much the mud splatter coming through the rear diffuser works at sucking the car to the ground. None of the 911s looked at all like this.

First Lighter Green I’ve seen. Not to be confused with Light Green. Would have guessed the two colors were a bit closer in the spectrum than they are.

That was the color I wanted to do for my GT4 but apparently Porsche hates money and i got sick of waiting for so long, so i did a shark blue build instead. I freaking love that color and it has some history as well.
