Good thing I accidentally stumbled on this thread and made me realize that I unknowingly selected PASM........now I think I am going to get rid of it and go sPASM.
Would appreciate an update on ride quality of sPASM. I had a 997.1S with PASM and it was a little stiff or harsh for me so I put in a DSC controller and that solved the problem. I figure if sPASM on GTS 4.0 is too stiff then I would get a DSC for it.

Just to throw out a differing opinion....I had a 991.2 GTS and several other Porsches and always though the suspension was too stiff and PASM button was never pushed. On this one I went for regular PASM +10 and I am extremely happy with it. The ride quality is amazing and still not much body roll, handles amazingly well, and now pushing the PASM button firms things up just right. great for a road car

Exactly the same for me. I have a b gts 4.0 with Pasm (10 milimeters higher than Spasm). Is is very confortable. Under 60 mph i never push the button because then i feel all the little cracs. Above 70 mph, "pushing the button" is great! Then i dont feel the small imperfections on the road and the suspension is perfect for "me". I dont perceive roll in curves at 90 mph. I will never track my car. It would be different in that case and then i would chose the -20 milimeters. An other benefit for me; it is easier to sit in. Contrary to many i adjust my seat the higher i can. I like the feeling of being "over" and the vivibility. Last reason for my choice; the last km for my house is very inequal gravel.

2022 CGTS owner here with the SPASM suspension.
Imho, the only reason to get the higher PASM is if you want the additional 1/2" of ground clearance. In my 2,000 miles of driving my SPASM car, I've lightly scraped 3 or 4 times when I wasn't being careful and pulled in/out of a driveway too quickly. So far, no visible damage...I think it was just the rubber aero bits in front of the tires.
If I had the higher PASM, I don't think I would have scraped once - so I understand why people choose this option if the car is a daily driver and will never see the track.
The SPASM suspension is great, even on the crappy northeast USA (PA/NJ/DE) roads where I drive. From all my research, I think only a tire or suspension engineer with a finely calibrated backside would be able to tell the difference when riding in a SPASM or PASM car - both are going to be sports-car firm. Regular people like me would never be able to tell the difference from behind the wheel.
I looked at two Caymans side-by-side at a dealer - one with PASM and one with SPASM - and the pinky-finger-tip difference in wheel gap was barely noticeable to me. So it's not even a matter of aesthetics for me.
In summary, I don't think you can go wrong with either SPASM or PASM. Both are awesome! If I didn't do track or autoX, I'd certainly have considered ordering the PASM car just for a little extra piece of mind. But my SPASM Cayman actually scrapes a LOT less than my factory-sport-suspension-equipped 997.2 C2S, which would scrape even pulling out of my driveway if I wasn't super-careful. So I'm 100% satisfied.

I have a 2021 CGTS 4.0 with SPASM. I was concerned that my steep driveway would prove an issue and was preparing to buy a device to help ease the car onto the driveway, without dragging the front lip, but the car has been perfectly fine. I have owned it one month now and no scrapes whatsoever anywhere, even over mild speed bumps. However, I do avoid large speed bumps in our local park, for instance. Ride is not harsh at all, quite amazing really for the performance. Getting in and out...yes, it's low...LOL...my wife (62-Y-O) does not like it at all, but she does ok

I've got almost 11k miles on my SPASM CGTS 4.0 and no problems with crappy MN roads. I scrape my splitter every now and then but that's what it is there for and it is on the bottom so who cares.
There is no wrong choice, but I think it comes down to this. If you are used to riding in stiffer sprung cars SPASM won't bother you. If you are used to a Camry/appliance like ride of a car, get PASM IMO.

Spasm Regrets
Just wanted to share that having picked up my new GTS 4.0, I now wish I had opted for pasm.
On rougher roads, even in normal mode, the car rides a little harsher than I would prefer. I am coming from a BMW M2 comp with passive suspension. I would say in sport plus the gts rides almost as rough as my old 981 with x73 suspension.
It;s obviously a subjective thing, but looking back I would give up the higher capability and better looks of spasm for the increased ride comfort and liveability of pasm. Arguably it fits the car better too, as the GTS is more of road car not a track car.
My experience FWIW

Interesting! You're making me reconsider...

interesting - from comments here and my SA I'd gathered that the ride comfort was almost identical, the clearance, look, and slightly lower center of gravity was the reason to go SPASM. I went PASM as many of the roads I'll drive are rather questionable and even 3/8" may make a difference. Still waiting for my BGTS to appear...

I went the SPASM route even though I share some concern with rough road but I figure it is much easier to make the suspension softer via a DSC controller (had one in my 997 and works great) but much more involved to lower the car if PASM was selected
