You get to work beside your car? I'm jealous!

I put my home office in my garage. The thrill does wear off after a few years 😂

This is an older photo…I have more computers and a better chair now

Right after I remodeled the garage so I could work in it. It was a better match for the Turbo’s color scheme. Needs Martini stripes now 😂

I didn't see this posted.

I have having an issue that the rear hatch will not open with the top up. The lights flash and nothing happens. (using remote or in car)

I start the process to lower the top and it pops immediately.

any thoughts? Am I doing something stupid lol

Do you have a Spyder? If so you have to unclip the buttresses since when snapped in the rear can only rise a few inches. Unless the top is down the rear cannot be fully opened.

Same here - trunk is overflow; however, I am usually out with the top down.

This is what I do...

With the top up, proceed as if you are opening the top so that the trunk pops, release the sails (place them on the top) don't move the rest of the top, open the trunk place items in, lower but don't close the trunk all of the way, re-insert the sails, then close the top, and then the trunk.

I can do this in about 30 seconds and because you don't disturb the top it closes easily (even easier with the SmartTop module), no big deal.

hahaha this is why I love spyder owners. The average person would think what you just described was insane.

what is the smartTop module you speak of

The SmartTop module can be added to the Spyder to restore the ability to latch the roof from outside of the car, available in ROW but not here in NA, it adds a number of other features as well, I had it in my previous 981 S and GTS Boxster, the same unit is for the 718's.

awesome, thanks.

Also great idea to not close hatch until roof is latched..... I've fought the roof in that case (I have owned this car 6 days and raised the roof twice lol)

No doubt. My top is so tight I couldn't possibly insert the rear buttresses with the front latch closed without a lot of force. In fact, I still have to pull down with most of my body weight for the top to sense it's in position for the top motor to complete the process. In almost any situation, better tight than loose. :-)

our friends doing PIWIS coding should be able to find the ROW feature to lock the top from the key fob...
