The 718 blow out deals are starting to show up...brand new cars well below MSRP.

When he gets down to 65k USD I may bite...

Helps if you have a relationship with a dealership, and known the GM and/or the SM.
Agree on a % under MSRP, and let them know you don't need the first one delivered.

It's a relatively recent phenomenon. I bought mine in January 2018 - the 6% I got off existing car at another regional dealer that was traded for an allocation was about standard then. I inquired about the price if I ordered with a slightly different spec and the answer was 4%. Thus I decided to live with standard model designation and no Porsche crest on headrests but otherwise perfect car (also eliminated the wait). It seems like the discounts started to accelerate Q3/Q4 2019 for cars on lots. I'm not sure what discount people are getting for ordered T4 models currently.

This seemed like a logical place to post this, even though I hate to disrupt the conversation on discounts...

News articles like that means one thing to me: the next few years is your last chance to buy a sport car with a manual transmission.
But, in the US at least, it’s going to be decades before a prohibition on gasoline. You’ll be able to drive your GTS 4.0 6MT well past 2035.
Private cars - of all sorts - banned from city centers, has nothing to do with ICE vs. battery.

If you live in Britain. Tell me? Are BoJo’s ‘decrees’ law in the UK? Or is there a legislative process?

Along with the right to defend oneself (2A) the U.S. will be the last bastion of ICE cars so you are right we won't be deprived of ICE cars in our lifetime but this orchestrated worldwide movement to ban cars (part of Agenda 21) will eventually affect the U.S. as car manufacturers stop investing in ICE technology combined with $10/gallon gas and annual $3000 Climate Change Fees will make driving the average ICE car cost prohibitive.
What will that do to the value of our P cars? Hard to say but I would enjoy them as much as you can before the silent Chinese-Style-Control-Every-Aspect-Of-Your-Life electric car revolution is here.

It's seems official now that the Spyder, the GT4 and the GTS 4.0 will get the PDK by the end of 2020 at least in Europe...

That article is such a ridiculous oversimplification of what will inevitably be a very complex, slow transition. If I had a nickel for every EV zealot who's sworn that broad EV adoption was just around the corner, I'd be a very rich man. There are so many leaps of faith and false assumptions in that argument that it's not even worth debating at this early point in the process. I've been hearing this nonsense since I did some consulting work related to the original EV1 decades ago. On a related note, I can't wait to see those 1 million robotaxis Elon promised would be here this year...

But, I will wager that it will be higher than it otherwise would be if the conspiracy theory turns out to be completely true. LoL.

About six PR videos of the 718 GTS 4.0 dropped yesterday on YouTube...backroad and track driving included. Several channels have it but this should get you started:
So what do you think? Does the exhaust sound meet your expectations?
