Just like with the 991.2 GT3 Touring that only came in manual and now commands a healthy premium vs its winged (especially PDK) counterparts, I don’t think there will be many GTS 4.0 cars piled up on dealer lots unsold even if they never offered them with PDK. Personally, I think more choices are better for everyone so wouldn’t mind if they did.

PDK is coming. Late this year. Cars probably won’t be in the US until 2021.

Is GT4 available in Porsche green??
Porsche green is not for free, how much is it?
shall i add another 10k in deviated exrended stitching and leather to get interior green in a different green than the exterior green??

On the german configurator the new GTS 4.0 “python green” is a special color option, 2.3k eur like miami. The deviated stitching greens offered are lizard and mamba green. Close enough for govt work...

I'm locking down spec on one of these (Cayman, GT Silver, PCCB), having been fortunate enough to have placed a deposit. A few options I'm struggling to decide on:

Wheels: Satin Black or Satin Platinum?
Calipers: Yellow or Black?
PASM: -10mm or -20mm (confusingly in the configurator, this is now the opposite way round to the old 2.5 GTS. -20mm is now the "default" option, and you have to select -10mm as a no-cost option)?

Any thoughts appreciated!

I love satin platinum wheels, dark enough to hide all brake dust (though that shouldn't be a problem with PCCB) but still light enough they don't get lost. I currently have satin black and feel like you can't ever see the wheel, has platinum before and loved them. Either will look good with GT silver.

As for the calipers, what color interior are you going for? If it's black, I think yellow will look good. You can add in some yellow stitching or belts as well.

I think 20mm lowered is more aesthetically pleasing, so that's my vote. But if you find it to hard to get in / out of, 10mm might be better.

If 10mm makes a difference on your in/out capabilities see a psychologist...

There is definitely a noticeable difference on the 981s of PASM and X73 which are 10 and 20mm respectively.

I'm hoping the PDK 4.0 drags down the 4T prices even more...

Which has little to do (10mm difference) with the noticeable difference between PASM and X73. Porsche could have given X73 the right height of PASM and the differences would be the same.
