RSNV Wing Risers for GT4

Historically with Porsche "CS" means Clubsport. I believe the first one was the 911 CS in 1989. We don't get the CS models in the USA but in Europe they can order them....most have been basically a track day car (stock plus factory sourced mods of seats, harnesses, bolt in cage, etc)...except the 2016 GT4 Clubsport which was a full race car that one is not like most of the CS cars.

We do recommend that, as Porsche recommends that when the wing is in the more aggressive position. Our risers do add a small amount of additional rear downforce. We’ve done CFD testing on the 981, not yet on the 718 but should translate very similarly. +~20% of stock wing downforce which is about +5lbs @ 80mph. So overall an increase. At the highest track levels you would likely be considering canards too.
Most people leave them off (I have mine off). Some people restick the outer cover with 3M to make it visually OEM. Or, you could potentially buy OEM inner cover adhesive strips. Hard to reuse those because of the adhesive. Overall, not needed, but some people’s preference will be to reapply them.

Well there is not much downforce at 80 mph anyway. If speed is upped to 124 mph, a commonly reported number, then downforce goes up from 5 to 12 lbs on a 981 GT4 with this upgrade. Downforce is proportional to velocity squared so: (124x124/80x80 = 2.4) and (2.4x5=12). If the new 718 wing has 20-30% more downforce, I can't remember exactly, then its rear wing should have 15-16 lbs more downforce at 124 mph than the standard risers. That is not bad for a grand and some more RS-like looks. If you are booking 145 mph down the back straight at COTA, then you could see an additional 20+ lbs of downforce on the rear when you hit the brakes from these taller risers. Maybe another 20 lbs from some double canards on the front like the Manthey Racing's GT2 RS, and some lengthening and deepening of the diffuser slats under the car, and you could have over 50 lbs of additional downforce with very little additional drag. These are probably the kinds of additional upgrades that will give the GT4 RS more downforce along with a bigger rear wing. Not something you would just necessary want to hodge podge together, but with some simulated CFD analysis from one of our vendors, some possible could options could become available.
These calculations lead to similar numbers as mentioned by JC for raising the wing with the risers. He said that was about equal to raising the angle of attack on the wing, or about 20 pounds of downforce. Same amount of additional downforce, but without adding any additional drag.

Overall, risers alone do add function, but mostly aesthetics. Which is perfect if you aren't looking to modify the entire car. Or if you are looking to add significant downforce, then go risers + bigger wing + diffuser + canards etc.

Looks great! We have partnered with @DesignsbyJacob to offer his wing with our risers as a package. We designed our own endplates for the DBJ wing. You might also notice these photos are on Cayman S's, which we have a full conversion package with DBJ now as well!
The full package/wing + risers/wing will be added to our site shortly, but it's all available and stocked now. Reach out if interested!

Big improvement. Stock, the wing is dead center in the rear view. With RSNV risers, it is moved up near the top, clearing the main view.
