I may be in the same boat with PCCB? With the last change I made to a interior color on Nov 22, then TYD updated to show my order was created on Nov 22, with a freeze date of Nov 18, so status V210, all the while my SA states my order still has not locked. He is unclear why it has still not locked by Porsche. Perhaps it is because the availabilty of PCCB is unclear? Does this seem likely?
I wasn’t aware that any changes meant the whole order was reviewed again. Guess that confirms I’m not changing my mind on anything.

Not exactly a new problem... Porsche has been putting the rear tow hook threads behind the license plate at least since my 2001 911 Turbo... Not that big of a deal. Most just drill a hole in the plate that lines up with the threads.. On standard six-character generic plates, the hole is right between the two groups of three.

Rule #1 on GT cars...get your final configuration done ASAP, even if it's an o-demand order, and don't change a thing after that.

Good thing i obsessed over it for months while just being "on a list". The only way my order changes is if supply chain issues continue and PAG kills off something in my build. If that were to happen it will be one of my backups without PCCB's. It's always nice knowing you can modify, but at the risk of losing a major option... Nope!

I could not resist adding PDLS and then taking the new special color recently, but I had some concerns when my order was stopped.
I made 2 changes after my freeze date was past because the order had not locked yet and the dealer allowed the changes to be made knowing (and telling me) there might be a problem. Then my order was placed on order stop last evening by PAG. But in less than 15 hours my order finally locked and I got both recent changes, along with PCCB still being on build as it has been for months. Everything is exactly as I want it.
Status: V220 - Vehicle Selected for Production as of today. !!!

I have had several GT4RS customers switch over to Surface Transforms "ST" rotors for this exact reason. If you still want Carbon discs on your GT4RS after having to option iron brakes, this is the perfect solution for you. These will outperform the OE PCCB discs by every metric as shown below:
I ship globally and I am running a great sale on ST rotors and Pagid pads through Thursday 12/1/22, PM or email for the best pricing!
- Lighter
- Run Cooler
- Last Longer
- Refurbish 3-4x throughout their life
- Much larger Pad selection (some guys even run their favorite iron pads with these on track)
- Cost ~50% less than New PCCB discs

It was good to know I could have used ST rotors with the base iron rotor calipers. It is also good to know that I can buy ST rotors from you should I ever have a need if my PCCB rotors develop a problem at a price less than half of what a Porsche parts guy quoted me on a PCCB rebuild.
Thank you

Got the good news on an allocation!! Need some help though. Should I add:
FAL? It only gives an extra inch clearance. Not much of an issue with my driving.
Seats? Comfort is key for me. Probably won't track it any. But, the new buckets look pretty comfy compared to the old style with bolsters almost vertical.
Brakes? Ceramic or steel? How much and when does it matter. 3 RS has steel and it's not a big deal with less aggressive pads as far as dust goes.
TIA! April build.

The LWBS are incredible on or off the track, the PCCB's also bring the steering feel to another level, virtually no dust and will likely last the life of the car, and PDLS+ for those late-night country runs!

I personally would option FAL, LWBS, PCCB and PDLS+ for the RS.

I have driven my Spyder back-to-back with a GT4 with iron brakes, the reduction of rotor mass lightens the steering feel, even though there is power steering you feel the crispness when making fast changes, additionally I can feel that the reduced weight allows the suspension to keep the tire in contact with the road surface, and it reacts less harshly to road imperfections. Subtle but noticeable when compared directly, I went even further by adding lighter forged wheels.
