LOL my local dealer JCI Import in Tulsa called me and said they are spec'ing the car and will be placing to highest bidder for a week. Then he said we will be charging $60K for any customer specing allocations future time frame. LOL just a f***ing joke buying a Porsche anymore. I think I will be moving to Mclaren soon. They are so nice and call and chat and no pressure at all to buy just building a good relationship with a future customer. I totally agree with free market and this free market isn't good my wallet so I must go find the next best deal that I feel is of value.

Well, if you are correct in the total number, that would be pretty amazing and no one should be worried about dealers selling spec cars because with 9000 production volume, there would be lots filled with them.

The ONLY reason to even remotely entertain paying a REASONABLE ADM on a a car like this, is so you get an open allocation that you can build yourself. I would never pay a penny over MSRP for a car that the dealer specs. Especially a Porsche GT car. What the actual ****. If I'm paying this kind of money for a car, it needs to be EXACTLY how I want it. Not spec'd to some gaudy high hell by a dude in a suit.
Have y'all seen how some dealers spec cars? A lot of ugly color combos and options nobody wants. But they include because it's an easy way to get the sticker price up higher.

I was told something similar about the 2022 GT4RS allocations by an SA in my area. But he thought that meant that there wouldn't be anymore GT4RS's after that.

I thought the scuttlebutt a ways back (with all of the other accurate info) was an estimated worldwide production of 2000-2200. That would be consistent with the 200 production for MY22 and about 600 for MY23 and a few for MY24.

To be honest I don't think a lot of SA's are really reading into the full story. They hear 'we're only getting 1 car next year', then they extrapolate that into, 'they're not making the GT4RS' for more than one MY. 2000 total for the US market seems like a reasonable guess, but who knows with the supply chain situation.

I have heard it's going to be quite limited, think hundreds of cars in the country.

It’s going to be hilarious if the regular 718 GT4 turns out to be more rare than the RS variant. Have we even broken 2000 total US 718 GT4s yet?

I'll say I'm excited for a potential GT4RS allocation, but I'm looking at the GT3 configurator again and having some second thoughts. When you consider adding in PTS (and resultant WP) in to the GT4RS in order to get more reasonable colors, you're essentially at the price of a pretty reasonable GT3.
Of course, you have to get a GT4RS/GT3 allocation.
