Default USA Arrivals Happening Soon!

Given the current Corona environment and the factory shutdowns being reported, I was expecting to hear of another lengthy delivery delay. Just inquired with my dealer and my car is built and at the port awaiting a boat. Scheduled for a mid-April arrival at dealer in Ohio. I was also asking about what would happen to my deposit if i wanted to "transfer" to another buyer. They said it's not transferable and I'd forfeit deposit. Just thought I'd inquire as I see my net worth plunging by the day! I'd better get busy selling a 981 GT4!

It's too bad that we can't follow the cars progress ourselves, bugging the SA must get a bit much for them, especially these days!

oh well, I could use more time to squirrel funds away I guess. Delays are cool with me at least.

My GT4 is also at the port in Emden (V331 Entry port Emden on 3/16/20).V332 (Exit port Emden) is scheduled for 4/3/20. When is yours scheduled to exit? I'm hoping mine goes sooner or at least is not delayed.

Good that yours is at Emden, attached is the shipping schedule for this time period, you can see that there is your scheduled date and a couple before that that come to Davisville...

This is the second such post I’ve seen today. The other one was from a dealer in Ohio. They appear to be trickling in to the U.S.

Damn nice! Mine is supposed to show up in June. The later the better. If this lockdown stuff is still going not sure how this all will work. Also I'm sure my 981 GT4 trade value is super low.

First time I've wished the car would be delayed!

Why the wish for a delay?

I'd check the State law. In most places deposits have to be refundable.

Based on what I’ve found, a deposit placed on a factory ordered car is NOT refundable. The exceptions are if the car is damaged in transport or if it arrives “significantly” later then promised (30 days usually). I guess it would also be refundable if your dealer allows it out of the goodnesses of his heart (and puts it in writing.)

I envy you guys who don’t have a car to trade/sell. If your trade-in value falls by $10k and the price of the new car stays the same, you’re paying 10k more than you bargained for. And doing so in the biggest economic downturn in our lifetimes.

Very nice! Mine has been at the port in Davisville since 4/3/20. I'm hoping it will reach my dealer in Long Island tomorrow (on sale date) so I can get mine tomorrow too!

Jvmax love your painted interior. Looks fabulous in Gentian.

In regards to the black Porsche up above delivered to Colorado, don't know if my eyes are playing tricks on me with the small phone but it looks like there is a lot of wheel arch gap. I assume ride height is adjustable?

There looks to be a little Gentian Blue surrounding the window switches on the passenger door. Is that part of the interior painted option? I'm asking because I did that option on my GT Silver GT4.
