OK I wish these were 20" to fill out the wheel wells more but here are pictures with the stock Cayman and Boxster wheels and the Satins 20" to compare. I would save almost 3k going this way.

Are you doing the sport PASM? It will lower the car and the 19" wheels will fill it out more. I am going to do a set of Forgeline 19's and wanted to have the same size set up on both wheels. I personally don't care for the 5 spoke Cayman wheel, they are just too plain. For the base Cayman the PASM only lowered 10mm and I would rather wait and do something aftermarket where I can get it lowered a bit more. If the sport PASM would have been offered I would have done that option.

p.s. I have a set of 20" OEM Carrera wheels from my 981 which I'm willing to let go very cheap

Can't speak to the performance of the 20" wheels, but just for appearances, I much prefer the 20" Carrera S wheels in platinum, above, to the stock 19" wheel choices.
For my imminent CS order, I'm torn between the 20" S in platinum, or the 20" Carrera Sport wheels in black. Those are really nice, in that they leave some silver on the spokes to offset the black -- very cool, but even more $$...

SamG:
The 5-spoke wheels pictured in post #16 will be much easier to clean compared to other, more complex spoke patterns.
The fact that they're smaller than the larger wheels you pictured also means that replacement tires will be cheaper.
And finally, the car will ride more smoothly since the higher tire sidewall will do a better job of absorbing bumps and potholes. In theory, this will also lessen the chance of a blowout.
On this matter of wheel size selection, then, I agree with caymannyc (post #19).

Totally agree. I really don't like black wheels on any car. Silver is obviously my favorite - my 20"s are great with GT Silver. Just personal taste though. Get what you love.

I'm not sure about the 718 wheels, but the 20" Carrera S wheels I got for my cayman are actually lighter than the 19" Cayman S wheels it came with.

I like the silver on GR car.
If you plan to track the car I'd rather have 19s personally.

Thanks to everyone for contributing!
I decided to go with the standard 19" Cayman S wheels and save the $1500-3000 and use it toward the purchase of a set of dedicated track wheels and tires.
