Ok I'm old so there's that. I don't get the "switchback" one can design. It looks like "where opposing exhaust gasses collide and decide to be quiet". Or maybe "left bank quiet, right bank sort of quiet and sort of free flowing".

When the valve is open, it routes to the right. When the valve is closed, it redirects and routes to the left. Left side is very quiet, right side is the complete opposite :burnout: |
