Was contemplating a GT4, but every review I've read it seems like the author complains about the gearing being too tall. Are they making something out of nothing?

you'll probably get better response in the GT4 forum than here (the GT4 forum is a sub forum under the 987-981 forum)

the gearing is tall and if you're in the top 10% of DE drivers, you'll probably complain, too
gearing seems perfect for autocross

Gearing is fine. You use the gear you need. You will find yourself in second far more than most cars and that bothers many who feel they should be in 3rd.

You will not win any drag races in this car but that is not the ethos of the car.
