Boxster’s Top Fabric with creases
Hi everyone,
I own a 2017 Boxster S with 50.000kms and recently I’ve been getting a little annoyed with the looks of the top’s fabric. It has quite a lot of “creases” as if it was getting worn out. I’ll share a couple of photos with you. People from my local dealer say that this is typical and perfectly normal. What do you think? Any suggestions to soften these “creases” out?
Cheers!

Clean with RaggTopp cleaner.
Let dry thoroughly. Overnight.
Coat 3-4 light coats of RaggTopp Protectant.
Let cure overnight.
Never wash top with soaps. Water only.
Use sticky roller weekly.
Don't fold top when damp.
Repeat every other year.

Thanks, I'll definitely try that!

Three Wheelin'
Mine has them as well, but also some spots where it is actually worn to the point of it being a different texture than the rest of the top. Of course dealer says it's normal. I agree with the OP and find it annoying.

It looks to me like it may have been either put down while wet or left down for days/weeks.
I'd be giving it wash (although it is very waterproof!) and then sitting it in the sun to dry and get really warm.
A treatment with Ragg Top or 303 top protect might help but I suspect would be best done after the creases are diminished.

Yikes! My '99 986's top didn't look that bad after 5 years of ownership. When I traded it in, they asked if it was a new top.
I would be having a discussion with the dealer.
