I haven't heard anything. I reached out to PNA and received a pretty generic answer about keeping in contact with my local dealer.
Its a shame as I really would like to make her maiden voyage be the 12 Hours at Sebring but beginning to lose hope that this is possible.

I was told that parts are coming from Porsche to make the update. Cars should be saleable in the next 2 weeks. No detail on the actual procedure, but supposed to be fairly quick.

Got a call from my dealer today, they said my Boxster S will be corrected and right for collection next week.

They said 3 rivets. I have arranged to pick it up next Friday.

Checked with my dealer today, no update. The hardest part for me to grasp is why they don't have a date yet. I totally understand the need to get it right but no communication is not the way that a company like Porsche should behave.

I was told by the sales operations manager that " it adds approx. 1 hour to the pre-delivery process and so not something that will hold us up greatly."

So perhaps Porsche Australia have things a bit more sorted than Porsche US. Though we will see what happens!

It's 1 hour at most, involves pulling the frunk liner out & installing 3 single sided rivets.

Got my car last Friday - Porsche Centre Gold Coast had already done a few cars that were on the road prior to doing my new Boxster S & a Cayman GTS.

Seamless & no evidence.

Just got a call from my dealer located in Orlando, FL was told they have the information they need and parts should be arriving soon. They said I woudl have the car by the end of the month but a good chance even sooner. This is positive news!

Got a call this morning telling me I could pickup my CGTS later on in the day as the parts had arrived. About 2 hours later was called again and told it would be Monday as they also needed a specialized tool that had not arrived. They were very apologetic and I hope Monday is the end of all this waiting.

Thanks OrlandoGuy. Looks like 3 pop-rivets are the fix.

When I lived in PA long ago the semi-annual vehicle inspection required that we cover rust through spots in the body to prevent (I was told) pedestrian lacerations. We used a circle of pop-rivets to hold patches of aluminum sheet over those holes. I trust these rivets are stronger.
