New 718 GTS, breaking necks.

New 718 GTS owner here.
2018, 4500 miles dealer car. Sticker was $98.8, we got it for $81,000 plus tax. Manual, GTS and full leather with white stitching and chalk seat belts and tach. It drives like a dream, and really ripped at first autox yesterday, some proper tires and it will be even better.

With my supercharged VVT Miata.

Driving home from Miami to Tampa. Miami blue, Miami, get it. Color looks so good in dusk lighting.

Incredibly predictable handling, near 0 turbo lag, except coming out of a very tight Chicago box, down to 1st could work too. ABS, stepped TC and rev matching downshifts, all fancy stuff compared to three Miata.

Looks fantastic! Enjoy it!!

Love the Miata too!

Looks great and nice spec.

I agree wider tires on the back will make a difference as there is slight traction loss on acceleration. Cornering will also help.

What size and type do you think you will go? I think the stock rim will easily take 275 or 285 but not sure about 295/30 as found in GT4.

Love the blue...

It's a great autoX car. I have a PDK... never noticed the lag on a course. I suppose if the car dips below 2000 rpms or so, you might feel it but I habitually keep my rpms up. On the other hand, I eat fuel like a V8....burp!

I'll have to do some reading up on tire sizes. But I do like how Porsche OEM tire size always seem to size with JUST a bit of stretch and in the Miata world, the slightly smaller tire width to wheel width would be faster and feel better around a track. But I suppose, for autox, the most tire you can fit the better.

Consider left foot braking and keeping the throttle down in the really low speed stuff? Rally car style. Assuming the electronics allow brake and throttle overlap.

Congrats! Wow. That is a great deal.

That's a beautiful GTS I like the blue. My wife mentioned to me her 718 (which is not as nice as yours) has heads turning quite a bit.

Congrats, enjoy in good health!

So you were the one that bought that 718! I was drooling over it for a while.
