So does that mean the new (street) 718 GT4 will use the 3.8ltr too? 425hp is not so bad though.

I'm kind of relieved it's not using the 4L as a low-4xxhp is more than enough and the hype/markup frenzy won't be as bad as the GT cars.

So, that means the GT4 won’t be on the configurator until after Geneva (> 3/17.)

Any guesses when the 718 T will be on the configurator?

I read your comment on the 991 forum that the street car will have more displacement but you were replying to someone who mentioned it being a 3.0L turbo. Can you tell us if the displacement is greater than the 3.0L turbo or the 3.8L CS.

Thanks @C.J. Ichiban

We'll just take it that the displacement will be greater than 3.8L.

You did mention that you were embargoed till Geneva. Does that mean Porsche won't even do an internet launch before Geneva.

Based on these pics, the street GT4 will have a smaller front splitter and obviously a different rear wing. Other than that, I don't see much difference between the two cosmetically (other than 20" wheels, brakes, etc.). Now we just need the specs!!! Hopefully they offer a front axle lift and a touring version.

I can only imagine the looks on the faces of the engineers when they were told that they couldn’t use CF and had to find something ‘more sustainable.’
